Team coaching: workshops for team development

Every team is made up of people, and people don’t say everything out loud. That creates two levels: the spoken and the unspoken. The second rarely shows on a normal day, but almost always under pressure. I work with managers and project leads and their teams on building new teams, developing existing ones and resolving conflict.

I look at how the team really works together and what it needs to do its best work. Teams spread across countries often gain most from shared experiences.

Workshop formats

For teams I offer workshops such as the future workshop. It helps people think beyond today’s constraints and find new solutions. It has three phases:

  1. Gather what isn’t working today
  2. Imagine how things could be, without thinking about limits
  3. Agree a plan everyone can commit to

I also support the team afterwards, as it puts the plan into practice.

Project initiation and stakeholder analysis

Building the team doesn’t only start once a project is up and running. Often it starts at the very beginning. Decisions made in the initiation phase shape a project for a long time. I support project leads in this phase, above all with stakeholder analysis.

Together we work out who is affected by your project, who has influence and who is pursuing which interests. From that follows who you should talk to early on, where to expect resistance and how to plan your communication.

I have practical project experience: in 2010 I passed the Project Management Professional (PMP) exam of the Project Management Institute, and I have set up a project management office (PMO) myself.
