Individual coaching: systemic and psychodynamic

The more responsibility you carry, the fewer people you can talk to openly about your role: not your team, rarely your manager, and your family only to a limited extent. That is exactly what coaching is for.

I take a systemic view: your situation never stands alone. Your team, your organisation, the people you report to and what they expect all play a part – and so does the way everyone communicates.

Then there is the psychodynamic side. Here we look at the part of communication that goes unsaid.

This often leads to a question: why do you keep reacting the same way in certain situations, even though you know better? Working on that question will usually take you further than any checklist.

I’m an engineer and have led large teams myself, so I know the topics that matter in industry from the inside: targets, deadlines, and being accountable for people and results.

Typical reasons for individual coaching
  • You are taking on a new leadership role and still finding your style?
  • You are thinking about moving from a specialist role into management?
  • You are facing a difficult decision and want to think it through properly?
  • Is tension in your team or with your manager taking up a lot of your energy?
  • You lead teams across sites, time zones and cultures?
  • The pressure is high, and you don’t know what you can change?

You set the agenda. I listen, ask questions and help you sort through things until it becomes clearer what you need.
